3rd International Day for Fighting Infection
Hospitals and Infectious Patients throughout the Centuries

Introduction

In 2010 ESCMID will celebrate once again the International Day for Fighting Infection by organizing a one-day symposium on milestones in the history of infections. This 3rd edition will be held once again on St. George’s Day and will trace the evolution over the centuries of infection control in hospitals and of ad-hoc hospitals for infectious patients.

This event is organized in cooperation with the International Society of Chemotherapy (ISC) and the International Society of Infectious Diseases (ISID), and supported by The Lancet Infectious Diseases.
